Christian and Leslie’s Wedding
The Eureka Building in Irvine is where Christian and Leslie had their wedding reception. But before I show you those photos let’s start where we started our day, at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana. When we walked in everything was calm. That’s pretty unusual for most weddings, most of the time there is a group of girls in the room getting ready. The only two people in the room where the Bride and Maid of Honor. Both were already done with hair and makeup and there was a sense of calmness in the room. The only thing Leslie had to do was put on her beautiful wedding dress.
Anaheim White House Restaurant First Look and Bridal Party
We took Bridal Party photos at the Anaheim White House Restaurant. This is where Christian’s dad works. He is the Chef, and the Anaheim White House Restaurant catered their big event. It was sweet to see how attentive his dad was with us. He brought us drinks to make sure we kept hydrated. I told him not to worry about us, but he said that was his job! The bride and groom arrived in a classic red 1930 class A Ford. After taking photos of the two of them we got the bridal party together to cheer on the bride and groom.
Ceremony at Saint Boniface
The Ceremony took place at Saint Boniface Catholic Church. Their closest friends and family were witness to their union and soon after were ready to get the party started at the reception 🙂
Eureka Building Reception
If you are looking for a place around Irvine where you can either have an outdoor or indoor reception, the Eureka Building is great. Christian and Leslie hosted their guest outside on the lawn under strings of Edison lights. The building has large black industrial roll-up doors that work great as a backdrop, so we definitely took advantage of that and took a few portraits there. One of my favorite things about this wedding was the introduction of the bride and groom. As Christian and Leslie walked down to the dance floor everyone stood and clapped for them and when they began to dance the bride and groom invited everyone to join them. The party got started right away and it set up the mood for a fun night. After that, their friends got to enjoy the mariachi band, DJ, and a live band. Heads were bobbing, hips were moving, and everyone was having a good time. With the help of some men even the groom got to fly ;P
Their Story
It all started with Pepe! He’s the groom’s cousin and Leslie’s next door neighbor. When Christian was a small boy he would go over to visit and play with his cousin Pepe. He was only 11 years old when he found the first crush of his life. He never felt anything like that before. Those pesky butterflies that people talk about that make your heart beat faster and make your body sweat as you interact with another person was actually a real thing. Luckly for him, he also became Leslie’s first childhood crush. As they got older they each went their separate ways. They made new friends, got to know other people, and dated here and there. Then after some years they reconnected and thought that perhaps there really was something there between them. They decided to give their childhood crush a try and after dating for 7 years Christian knew that many of the feelings that he had felt for Leslie when he was little were sincere and real. Christian proposed to Leslie by recreating their first date and started the night by taking her out to BJs. The day of their wedding Pepe was there by their side, just like old times. Do you know who else was there all day with them? Little baby Meza, officially arriving in Spring of 2019!!
