It was such a pleasure to photograph Ricardo and Lauren’s wedding. They are both teachers and have worked in some of the toughest schools in the city of Los Angeles. They have big hearts and you can see it in their love for one another.

 

The day started off with the bride getting ready at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.

It was an emotional moment when Lauren read the letter that Ricardo wrote to her sharing his heart and excitement for their future together.

Back at their home the groom was with his favorite men and grooms WOMAN. How rad is that!?

During the Ceremony one of our favorite things to witness was seeing Ricardo and Lauren use the same rosary that Ricardo’s parents used when they got married over 30 years ago! Talk about setting an example and passing on wedding traditions.

The chapel exit was a full on confetti craze. Ricardo’s mom actually walked up to him, stood directly in front of him and launched a massive ball of confetti right in his face. HAHAHA, this really made us laugh. 😛

After the ceremony we  spent time with the bridal party. How gorgeous are their wedding colors and flowers?!

Remember, if you are ever feeling down make sure to surround yourself with people who will pick you up and lift up your spirits. These two were surrounded by a great group of friends.

Their reception was held at the beautiful Daily Dose Cafe in the arts district in Los Angeles.

We snuck away from the reception to take a few photos of these two love birds with the awesome edison lights in the background to create some cool bokeh (a.k.a. blurry lights in background).
